A large-scale evidence-based study of cracked molar teeth was recently conducted on
2858 patients, which shows only 0.2% were extracted whereas 98% restored and 3%
endodontic treated.1 If only a part of the teeth is damaged removal of the whole piece which
does not mean therapy. Root-canal treatment means almost the same thing. As most parts of a
tooth can be regenerated except the crown made of enamel,2–6 could we avoid endodontic
treatment and reattach the tooth?
